Senior Manager/Supervisor

Our data unification SaaS platform is designed for financial institutions. It allows them to help their clients via a customer portal backed by all their financial data shown in a single place. We are looking for someone who loves helping us make the financial world clearer for everyone.

With massive growth ahead for Wealth Access, we’re looking for a Controller join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in financial strategy and planning, while working closely with the CEO & broader Wealth Access team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and provide insight into business performance.

Responsibilities:

· Perform general accounting and other related duties for the organization.

· Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.

· Maintain the general ledger.

· Calculate monthly commissions and quarterly incentives.

· Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify deposits and addresses inquiries from banks.

· Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts.

· Perform and oversee all financial activities, including the production of financial reports and statements.

· Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.

· Develop, maintain, and improve internal financial controls and procedures.

· Manage budget preparation and financial forecasting; conduct financial analysis to identify trends, efficiencies, and areas for cost reduction.

· Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors

· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

· Assist in formulating strategic and long-term business plans; collaborate with executive leadership to provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

· Perform Bi-Weekly Payroll

· Onboard/Offboard employees

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong working knowledge of data analytics for accounting.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.

· Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, required. MBA preferred.

· 5 years of experience required.

· Experience with fundraising and financial transactions preferred.

· CPA (or at least CFA) required.
